The street boy centre

The street boy centre, TIDO, is a part of the Ebenezer umbrella. The centre is situated in Kisumu and was started in 1996. Approximately 50 boys at the ages 5-18 years live here. They come off the streets and have no parents or other relatives to take care of them. The street boy centre has become their home where they get food, clothes and schooling. We do not have our own school here, but we pay for the children, so that they can attend the public school. When they have finished primary school, they are given the opportunity to go to the secondary school at Ebenezer in Ahero.
