BEFORE: This poor man and his children in Maseno only had this half-covered mud hut to live in.
This family were freezing cold at night, causing the children to be sick all the time. They were also in constant danger from stray hyenas at night and deadly grass snakes, as there was no door that could be closed to keep them safe.
The mother in the family had left them because she could not stand the conditions any longer. However, with support from New Life Mission a new hut was built for them, one with proper walls and a roof to keep them warm and safe. All the villagers, together with the family, thank God and New Life Mission for this new hut for the family.
